my male car pees on the fridge whenever he wants food,?

which is often! he is fixed so I don't think he is marking his area or anything, but its getting to be a problem and also making my house smell like cat pee!

  1. I understand your feelings about cat pee. I have four. Pet shops should sell some kind of spray to keep cats from doing this in undesirable places. They can probably provide more advice for you too. Good luck,.
  2. Beacause he is a male cat they spray you should get him neutered. A local animal shelter can do this for about $30.00 because most likely thats not the only place he is peeing.
  3. I have never seen a male car...let alone have them pee on my fridge! Tell him its unacceptable behavior, spray him with a water bottle every time he does it....its good to get your car fixed (and a tune up every 10,000 miles), thanks for remembering to neuter your pets :) No need to have any extra lil male cars running around and peeing on other peoples fridges :)
  4. cars have genders?!?!?! oh my god!!! male cars can get into your house and pee gasoline and oil all over my fridge!?!?!?! what the hell!?!?!?!?!! AHH!?!?! but seriously...euthanasia
  5. I think that if you reverse the ground on the fridge, the next time old Meow Face takes a wiz on the refrigerator, his little 'Magic Johnson' will short out when the pee hits the fridge and he'll learn to do his biz in the litter box, like all good little kitties should!
  6. if he dose it again than stick his nose in it. i know it sounds mean but it works.
  7. I agree with you I do not believe he is marking his territory either when he does this does he get in trouble or do you just clean it then feed him ?he could be doing it for attention too you might try focusing on what he is doing before he pees on the fridge . it sounds like it behavior. he also might feel like you are not paying him eanough attention and by doing somthing extereme he gets you attention. the only thing I can reccomend for the smell is ammonia of any kind and try not to dilute it with very much water . try talking to your vet about yor cats behavior they might have some tips also I have found books at the library on behavior . you might try there for additional tips and help I feel for your situation and hope that all works out well for you and your kitty
  8. My best friend had this problem with a neutered male cat of hers. Some neutered cats can spray in the house, and he was ruining clothing, furniture, bedding, etc. She tried EVERYTHING, and the vet finally advised euthanasia as the only sure fire cure.
