cam i change car input on a portable fridge to a powerpoint?

i have a portablo frige that i want to use with a powerpoint and i have a frw spare dc powercords with varying voltages. is it safe to find a matching one and change the connection?

1. You need a power cord (adapter) that has the same connector size, voltage, polarity, and amperage as the original one (which is presumably lost). It is unlikely that the spare ones will be a match in all of these respects. Using the wrong thing could damage the fridge or the powercord/adapter. Hopefully you can avoid all this by looking at the fridge's power connector; it may show the voltage, amps, and polarity right there. If so, find a powercord that matches and it should work.
2. You need a 12-15V supply with around 5A capacity, and get a female car socket for it. You can likely get one made specifically for mini-fridges from mini-fridge vendors.
