What is the correct 12v wiring for the car side of a 12S plug for a modern caravan. Fridge and charging?

The exact wiring and use of relays etc. is very confusing. Different views on different web sites!!! Have just had the wiring changed on my car in readiness for a new caravan. Pin 6 (fridge) is permanently live (engine running or not) which doesn't seem right as the battery would soon be discharged. Pin 4 is also permanently live.

2. Did you specify to the tow bar fitter whether your caravan was built before or after 1998. They changed the connectors then. Either way, I don't think your pin 6 should be permanently live.
