why is my small fridge freezing stuff?

i have a small fridge in my room at college i cant have meat in like ham, checken but anyting eles milk water mayo ect are fine the meats freeze i have turned it down but it still freeze meats why? many thanks there is nothing really in there

1. It thinks that it's a chest freezer. It's delusional. Try talking to it.
2. Its probably because it's over filled - that or you have it on too high, and the meat has a high water content. Try taking some stuff out and see if that helps
3. In small fridges especially you have to keep food away from the edges of the fridge otherwise the air can't circulate and the temperature won't be evenly distributed.
4. Borrow/buy a fridge thermometer and test temps on each numbered setting.Should be around 0-4 C (32 -40F) at optimum setting. If temp doesn't alter the thermostat's broken.I got caught like this and found the odd manufacturer has No. 1 as highest while another has No. 1 as lowest. Hopefully as simple as that.
5. Is something blocking the fan?
6. You might need to defrost it, or sometimes when you don't have very much in a fridge, it freezes things.
7. Don't turn it down - turn it UP - you don't want it to go so cold so you move the control up a bit - and whilst you're at Reaseheath, apply for one of their higher educational courses. Might help with the old spelling....! (I know several people who've been there)
8. mine did that is it old, broken or jus need turnin up a bit
