I have a small car fridge which I want to run from 240v mains - how many amps should the adaptor be?

The fridge plugs into the cigarette lighter (12v). I want to use the fridge on mains supply while camping - (240v). If I buy an adaptor will a 5amp adaptor be adequate or too much?
