Compact Refrigerators

compact refrigerator wont cool?

I have a chefmate bc 87/h compact refrigerator, when plugged in the compressor gets hot, but the fridge won't cool, can't really tell if the motor is running, any suggestions, is it cheaper to buy a new one vs. repairs?? thanks.

1. I think your compact fridge needs COMPACTING!!! You can always buy a second hand one from an appliance shop, they offer guarantees so you are covered for a while. Should be able to pick up a good one at around half price of brand new.
2. Sounds like it needs some refrigerant in its coils but you might have to pay someone to install it. They will make sure there is no leak as well.
