My roommate thinks we should each bring our own small fridge but I already bought a big one. What should I do?
I asked my roommate if she thought we should share a big fridge but she said she wants to get a little one that she can fit under her bed. Little ones will die faster and are too small. I am bringing most of the big appliances including amicrowave & a watercooler. I don't want to be that annoying roomie who takes up more than half the room.

- take the big one and put it under your bed!
- lol if i was ur room mate i wud be thank ful cuz its not lyk ur gonna say no to me using ur stuff dun wrry bout it
- tell her to pay extra bills for electricity and threaten her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Stick your mate in the big one and have his small one
- tell her too bad. Fridge already bought. Just roll it in. Once her crappy little fridge burns out offer to share the one you have.
- take the big one. she will probably want to put stuff in there later on =]
- Easy! saw the big one in half, and hey presto! two small fridges! or just flog the big one, and buy to small ones =D
- she wants to get a small one when you got a big one? it would be better if you both shared the big one, but the big one is kinda big I'm imagining my kitchen fridge never seen a big fridge in a dorm before, it's just to store water /yogurt/salad/snacks
- whether or not they last doesn't really matter. Get a small fridge for the sake of space. Sell your big one and use that cash to get something smaller and more space-friendly. The fridge will last long enough for your needs and frankly, you won't be using all of the space of a big fridge anyways. Trust me.
- Your going to have to tell her that you already bought one. Tell her you'll have more room for things and it will be more convienent then storing things under a bed? Who does that anyway. Tell her it will not die as fast and it won't take up too much room. I would be thankful if i were your roomate...not think your annoying. Your helping her!
- tell her that this stuff would save more money than the smaller stuff
- I would kindly suggest that it would save her the space under her bed if she just shared with you.
- Try to explain you think a big one would be more practical. Is she afraid you'll pinch her food or something haha. You could suggest halving the shelf space and to vouch not to each others food unless you ask permission first :)
- trust me, your roommate is going to be thankful for your full sized fridge when she realizes that the small ones hardly hold anything. unless she wants to be running to the store before every meal to get perishable stuff, she'll use the big one.
- Small fridges are the way to go. Most dorms have a kitchen area with a normal-sized fridge that you can store your food in if you write your name on it. That's what I did during summer session. If you each have a small fridge, that will be plenty for your sodas and snacks that you want in the room. I would have been pissed if my roommate brought a huge fridge, I'm just sayin, dorm rooms are tiny!
- Then don't bring the fidge. Perhaps you could return the big one for a small one and have some cash in your pocket. I'm not sure there is any reason to have a large fridge in the first place.
- Well, if this is the only item you two disagrre on, you are douing great. If the space is a big issue, try to find ways to staack few things , may be hard to reach, but you would not use any more space. Needs creativity to use vertical space and not just the floor area.
- Who cares. Use the big one. Just tell her already bought it.
- she's strange a bigger fridge is better but hey if she doesnt want that then i guess just roll with a small fridge? i agree w. what most of the other people said answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090826140307AAAqVRC http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090826140307AAAqVRC http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090826140307AAAqVRC
- Just do what you want to do but remember make your roommate feels that they can have the space for their own things too.
- Do them both, personal items in one box and the items you share in the other,Just make sure you agree on the items that you put in the fridge
- Well, does,t this sound like the match made in heaven?Take what you want.In 30 days i,ll look for your next question. Here,s a draft you might want to use...Where can I find another roommate?Good luck!
