Will a large fridge use more power than a small one?
I'm moving into a house with iffy power and need to know if my 5 ft fridge would be harder on the circuits than a smaller one. Keep in mind that I'd be sharing a circuit with another guy and the circuits frequently blow when 2 small fridges and a microwave are in use.

- A BETTER RULE IS TO LEAVE THE DOOR SHUT, I MEAN DON'T LEAVE IT OPEN WHILE YOU WALK ACROSS THE ROOM TO GET A GLASS etc. An empty refrigerator loses more cold air when opened than a full refrigerator because air is replaced. If your refrigerator is getting bare putting jugs of water in it just to replace air will help whether its large or small. The newer one may be the more efficient.
- The microwave is probably the culprit for tripping the breaker. The fridge should be fine, but I would find another outlet to a different breaker for the microwave even if you have to use an extension cord.
