Can anyone give me pointer on mini fridge troubleshooting?

My mini fridge wont cool at all. It runs constantly, but no matter how long it sits it will not cool. I want to try to fix it myself, without having to get it serviced by a professional. Any input?

1. take a look on the back. there should be a little filter. Take it off or just clean it off. After that, make sure it is not in enclosed area. You want it to be able to get fresh air. Give it some time to get cold. If it doesn't, may have some sort of other problem...
2. is it thermoelectric or compressor type? thermoelectrics do not cool down very much to begin with and work best when the fridge is loaded. if the fridge is empty, you may hardly feel a temperature change. Compressor type fridges may develop a coolant leak over time. try to feel the condensor coils, either on the back of the fridge or embedded on one of the sides. if the coil does not feel hot, then the refrigerant may have escaped. you would have to take it to a repair shop to have the leak welded.
3. Try turning it off for 24 hours, then turn it back on. This worked for me once.
4. Does it have a compressor? if not , you can try turning it upside down for a day or two, unplugged of course ,then back up again and let sit for a day, it may run again for a while, and then stop again.maybe low on 22.
